Karolína Kohoutková (CZ)

Karolína Kohoutková (1974) is a Czech artist and pedagogue from Brno. The beginnings of her work have been influenced by the studies at the Secondary Textile School and since then she has been working with soft materials, perceiving its plasticity in connection with the human body and topics of innate and cultural identity.

Jiří Suchánek (CZ)

Jiří Suchánek (1979) is a Czech audiovisual artist, musician, multimedia experimenter, and developer who will participate in a two-month residency stay within the project KAIR Košice Artist in Residence.

Ognjen Tadić – Lesný duch / movie premiere

The premiere of a short film by a young Serbian artist Ognjen Tadić created during a two-month residence within the project  KAIR Košice Artist in Residence. In his work, the author was inspired by the local story of Roman Anděl about the revelation of a forest spirit during camping near Bukovec and at the same time a Slavic legend of a forest demon named Leshy.

Ana Gabelaia (GE) / CURATOR’s Talk

Ana Gabelaia is a Georgian curator who arrived from Tbilisi for a residency research stay. The concept of the exhibition and the potential artists are still subject of the research, but before her return to Georgia, Ana will host a curator’s talk where she will present the draft of the project and share the residency experience in Košice.

Open Studios Night vol.11

In the summer edition of Open Studios Night, our newest residency artists – Ognjen Tadić from Novi Sad, Serbia and Ana Gabelaia from Tbilisi, Georgia will introduce themselves.

Judit Lilla Molnár – Parallel Strategies / exhibition

The exhibiting project of Hungarian artist Judit Lilla Molnár is the outcome of a 3-month residency stay within the project KAIR Košice Artist in Residence. It conceptually follows-up to the previous artistic realizations, through which the author sensitively reacts to specific social problems of the young generation.
