“Do you hear me well?” is a 3-week project on which polish dancer Katarzyna Kamecka was working during her residency stay within KAIR Košice Artist in Residence. Katarzyna was working with dancers, artists and people interested in self-development who joined the project and their final presentation you will be able to see this Friday, September 28th at 7.30 p.m. in Blackbox, Tabačka Kulturfabrik.
The group was investigating the topic of listening through dance and physical theatre.
Their main questions were: “What is the physicality of listening?”, “How does the sound/silence influence our bodies?” and “How we can cultivate a practice of good, nourishing listening to each other in the contemporary world filled with noise and overflow of information?”.
The part of the research was also organizing Urban Confessional/Free Listening event in Košice, the volunteers went to the Main Street, met the people and listened to those who decided to share their stories and concerns with them.
The residency programme is supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council. The residency stay is then supported by the city Košice and Creative Industry Košice. The residency is organized in cooperation with AIR Wro as part of the Culture Zone Wrocław and Tabačka Kulturfabrik.
