Erik Vilím (SVK)

Residency: May 2019

Erik Vilím is a Slovak theorist, critic, and curator who will spend one month at The State Silk Museum in The Capital of Georgia Tbilisi within the project KAIR Košice Artist in Residence.

In 2017 he graduated from the Institute of Literary and Artistic Communication at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra where currently he writes his dissertation thesis about The contemplative aspects of expression in visual art. Already during his studies, he was preparing many solo and group exhibition projects and at the same time, he was working as an assistant for Zahorian & Van Espen Gallery. Vilím together with Mária Janušová was organizing in 2018 #OK XII. Triennial of small object and drawing in Banská Štiavnica. Nowadays, he organizes artist talk program for Kunsthalle Bratislava called Talking Art Heads, to which he invites young artists to present their work.
