Zoë De Luca Legge (IT)

Zoë De Luca Legge is a Milan-based curator and researcher. Her practice focuses on postnatural and transfeminist studies, with the aim to generate curatorial and editorial projects that prioritize artistic processes over performativity. By choosing humid ecosystems as a starting framework, she investigates environmental imagination, ecological awareness and non-human agencies through different embodied formats. 

She curates exhibitions, residencies, workshops, and lectures informed by alternative methodologies such as radical care, degrowth, and situated co-creation, to build permeable, temporary communities. She holds a BA in Art Markets’ Communication (with a thesis in Independent Art Publishing) and participated in the International Curatorial Program of the NODE Center. Former founder of the publishing house Diorama Editions and the online archive Panorama Milano, she is the co-founder of the art label Siliqoon.

Her work has been presented by independent spaces and institutions, and she has taught

courses and seminars internationally. Recent projects have been hosted by Locarno Film

Festival (Locarno), Massia (Häädemeeste), ICA (Milan), Konstfrämjande (Malmö), and PAV

(Turin). She was a finalist for the Micro Curatorial Prize at FY Foundation (2018, Shanghai);

curator in residence at CPR (2022, Scandinavia); and twice juror for Ducato Prize (2021-2022, Piacenza). She has contributed to numerous publications such as NOT – Nero On Theory, CURA., Domus, Flash Art, il Tascabile, L’Officiel, Inactual Magazine, Planted. Currently, she is a member of the scientific committee of Bogiaisso (Chioggia) and of the Eco Steering Committee of Ziemniaki Foundation (Warsaw).

Her latest project is Hedera, an anthology dedicated to queer ecology, ecotransfeminism, and ecosexuality.
