Open studios & comic reading w/ Dorrotya Poór

We invite you to an informal meeting with our artist-in-residence, Dorottya Poór.  Come on Saturday, May 30, 2026, to get a glimpse into her work, discover her creative processes, and experience something truly unique.

You can look forward to a Comic Reading accompanied by a live musical and sound backdrop. Dorottya will read excerpts from her collection of short comics titled Witches, which explores magical thinking, sisterhood, and “everyday witches”.

Who is Dorottya Poór? A Budapest-based visual artist and author of feminist autofictional comics. In her work, she focuses on storytelling at the intersection of documentary and fiction. Through her drawings, comics, and participatory projects, she sensitively blends fictional elements with observations of everyday life and feminist theory.

💡 This program is part of the Open Studios event organised by Creative industry Košice, during which nearly 20 ateliers, studios, and creative spaces in Košice will open their doors to the public.
