Audiovisual site-specific installation Limen by Spanish artist Marc Vilanova is aiming to make visible and musical the invisible sounds of everyday life.
Jan Durina (1988, Liptovský Hrádok, SK) is a Slovak interdisciplinary artist who utilizes a diversity of medium to develop personas and grow the complex narratives they exist in. Through performance, photography, and sound Durina unfolds the nuance of each narrative, grappling with themes of loneliness, loss.
Project Juncture brings a new vision and experience with liaison between reality and imagination. Ezgi Yakın is an artist, writer and academic. The world of images that Yakın creates draws from the process itself, interacts with the collective subconscious, and explores the elements of the self.
In the autumn edition of Open Studios Night, you will be introduced to our two current residency artists – Marc Vilanova from Spain and Ezgi Yakın from Turkey. From Izmir, Turkey is also Saliha Yavuz representing our partner organization Hayy Open Space, who is traveling to Košice to talk about their local art scene.
Samuel Velebný participated within the project K.A.I.R. Košice Artist in Residence in an almost 2-month residency stay in Ukraine, during which he devoted himself to artistic research of the landscape and concepts through various prisms of nature and culture. The result of his stay is a visual work and a lecture entitled Associative Atlas of Cultural Landscape.
