We cordially invite you to the feminist fight club workshop by our resident Đejmi Hadrović which will take place in Šopa Gallery on the 13th of July between 16.00 – 20.00.
In the summer edition of Open Studios Night, you will be introduced to our two current residency artists – Đejmi Hadrović and Nežka Zamar from Slovenia, who are at our residence as part of the Hydra Pace project. During the evening, you will be able to get acquainted with their ongoing projects and also take part in the participatory project of Nežka Zamar, which aims to create an interactive audio map of the city.
We cordially invite everyone to a friendly meeting for this participatory project, which will take place on June 22 at 6 p.m. in the Košice City Park near the glass statue Pavilions of Dan Graham. Due to the fact that this project is closely related to working with the community, our first picnic will be followed by other interesting meetings.
Together with Creative Industry Košice and the East Slovak Gallery, we cordially invite you to a site-specific installation by German multimedia artist Abel Korinský and Istanbul-based software engineer and new media artist Orhan “aib” Kavrakoğlu.
The play, created by the Dutch playwright Sytze Schalk and the Theater Na Peróne in cooperation with KAIR Košice Artist in Residence and Creative Industry Košice, seeks to contribute to the fight against democracy against extremism.
The performance was created within the international project BORDERLINE OFFENSIVE: laughing in the face of fear, which was co-financed by the European Union’s Creative Europe program. The creation of the performance was supported using public funding by the Slovak Arts Council and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
